Woolworths Limited (ASX:WOW) has launched more private label whisky offerings, adding to its current home brand spirits range.
Fairfax newspapers report today that the supermarket chain would not release the proportion of grocery sales made up of private label and home brand lines. However, industry experts said almost one third of trolleys will be filled with private-label items by 2015.
In April, the ACCC cleared Woolworth’s $340 million takeover of direct wine marketer, The Cellarmasters Group.
In the six months to December 31, 2010, Woolworths (ASX:WOW) reported a profit of $1.17 billion.
