Global Miner BHP Billiton Ltd
(ASX:BHP) has awarded NRW Holdings Ltd
(ASX:NWH) a $158 million contract for work in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
Site mobilisation is expected to start in July 2011 and work to continue until June 2012.
The 12 month contract was awarded by BHP’s Iron Ore division and comes just a few weeks after NRW was awarded a $160 million contract by Rio Tinto Ltd
(ASX:RIO) Iron Ore, for work in the same region.
The civil and mining services contractor says the latest contracts take its secured workload to around $800 million in the 2012 financial year, out of a total order book of around $1.74 billion.
In the first six months of the 2011 financial year, NRW Holdings generated a net profit $20.4 million.
