Jupiter's new management team

Mining company Jupiter Mines Limited (ASX:JMS) have announced a brand new senior management team, in a move expected to help the company consolidate its Western Australian operations in Yilgarn and Mt Ida.

The iron ore and manganese explorer and producer has appointed Richard Mehan from Rio Tinto as managing director, Greg Durack as chief operating officer and Matt Finkelstein as finance officer.

The company’s non-executive chairman, Brian Gilbertson, said the appointments will help the company growth its asset base.

The company also said the senior management team will support the company’s growth in South Africa, among other potential markets.

In the year ending December 31, 2010, Jupiter reported a loss of $1.9 million.
