LogiCamms shares rise after contract wins

LogiCamms Ltd (ASX:LCM) has won four contracts from engineering group Sandvik worth more than $4.5 million.

LogiCamms says it will undertake engineering works associated with eight new mobile machines to be supplied to Rio Tinto Ltd (ASX:RIO) for expansions at its Cape Lambert and Hope Downs operations in Western Australia.

In addition, the company has scored its first contract for work in South Africa for engineering works associated with 14 new and existing mobile machines to be supplied for expansion works. 

The scope of works is for the supply of electrical design and automation services and will be undertaken over the next two years.

LogiCamms says the contract’s value of $4.5 million is also plus commissioning services which are to be provided on a rates reimbursable basis.

Yesterday shares in LogiCamms rose 4.94 per cent to close at $1.70.

In the first half of the 2011 financial year LogiCamms recorded a net profit of $4.2 million.
