Aristocrat signals sustainable growth strategy

Company News

Aristocrat Leisure Ltd (ASX:ALL) says is shifting its focus outside of one-time slot machine sales and targeting earnings derived from ongoing revenues, such as systems support and services to casino customers.

According to the Australian Financial Review the new strategy is important to flatten out Aristocrat’s revenue stream that fluctuates when casino’s open, only to then drop.

CEO Jamie Odell has told the AFR that the move is geared towards creating sustainable growth through on-going, recurring revenue.

The paper reports that the gaming provider is planning to boost ongoing revenues from 40 per cent to 65 per cent over the next couple of years.

Mr Odell has signalled growth opportunities in the US, Asia, and Europe and says the company is investing more into “Asian themed games” to attract the Singapore and Macau markets.

In the 2010 calendar year Aristocrat Leisure posted a net profit of $77.8 million.
