Hutchison Telecommunications (Aus) Ltd (ASX:HTA) reported a net profit of $73.4 million for the year to December, down from $467.7 million the year prior.

The previous year included the sale of the telco’s interest in Hutchison 3G Australia to Telstra.

Hutchison Telecommunications is half of the Vodafone Hutchison Australia joint venture which operates Vodafone, ‘3’ and Crazy John’s.

Vodafone achieved 11.5 per cent growth in postpaid customers, with its customer base growing strongly to 7.58 million.

An interim dividend has not been declared.

Hutchison reported a half year net profit of $17.85 million to June 30, 2010.
