Qantas
(ASX:QAN) has announced a 7.5 per cent rise in 3rd quarter revenue to $4.25 Billion, compared with the prior corresponding period.
The airline says it’s on track for a record underlying profit before tax of $1.55 billion to $1.6 billion for the financial year.
Qantas affirmed its existing outlook for capacity, fuel costs, capital expenditure and transformation benefits in the second quarter
In a separate announcement the airline also said the accelerated the retirement of its last six 747s.
Shares in Qantas
(ASX:QAN) have jumped more than 6 per cent to $6.17 since the announcement.
