Co-founder of Pilbara Minerals to step down

Australian lithium developer Pilbara Minerals (ASX:PLS) has announced that non-executive director Mr John Young will step down from the Company’s board, effective immediately.

Mr Young’s decision reflects his growing personal and business commitments, including as Managing Director of ASX-listed gold developer Spitfire Materials Limited (ASX:SPI).

Mr Young co-founded Pilbara Minerals as a strategic metals exploration and development company with Mr Neil Biddle four years ago.

He has made a substantial contribution to the Company’s rapid growth to become a leading mid-tier mining company, now on the cusp of first production.

Meanwhile, highly experienced company director and advisor Sally-Anne Layman has been appointed to the board as non-executive director.

Shares Pilbara Minerals (ASX: PLS) down 1.2 per cent to 86c.
