Tourism and transport company Sealink Travel
(ASX:SLK) has completed a $43 million dollar acquisition of the Kingfisher Bay Resort Group from Cosmos Australia.
The Kingfisher group is based on Fraser island in Queensland and includes two resorts, a tour group and a ferry company.
The deal makes Sealink owner of 90 per cent of accommodation rooms on the island.
The company says they are looking forward to positioning Fraser island as one of Australia’s leading eco-tourism experiences.
Shares in Sealink
(ASX:SLK) closed 1.27 per cent higher to $4.00 yesterday.
