Capral’s FY17 earnings impacted by rising aluminum billet price

Aluminium manufacturing company Capral Aluminium (ASX:CAA) has announced its profit after tax fell $2 million to $12 million for the 2017 financial year.

The company’s revenue strengthened, increasing by $24 million to $449 million.

Earnings (EBITDA) were down $2 million on last year to around $19 million.

The company has maintained a fully franked dividend of 1.25 cents per share to be paid on the 23rd of March 2018.

The company says that its earnings were negatively affected by the increase in cost of aluminum billet. Capral is forecasting 2018 earnings at similar levels to 2017.
