Wesfarmers results beat expectations

Wesfarmers (ASX:WES) has reported its net profit after tax fell 3 per cent to $1.5 billion dollars for the half year to December 2017

Meantime, the company announced a lift of 2.8 per cent in revenue to $36 billion dollars when compared with the prior period.

Earnings (EBIT) for the company fell 3 per cent to $2.4 Billion

The mining company declared an interim dividend of $1.03 cents fully franked

While the results were lower than last year they beat market expectations.

Shares in Wesfarmers (ASX:WES) trading 2.55 per cent higher to $41.80
