APN’s profit down but paying a special dividend

Outdoor advertising company APN outdoor (ASX:APO) has reported its net profit after tax (NPAT) fell 9 per cent to $44 million dollars for the full year to December 2017.

Meantime the company’s revenue strengthened rising 4 per cent to $343 million.

APN’s underlying earnings (EBIT) also increased by 2 per cent to $75 million.

Over the year the company paid final and interim dividends of 19.2 cents. The board is also recommending to pay an additional fully franked dividend of 12.5 cents per share.

Shares in APN (ASX:APO) are trading about 5.8 per cent lower to $4.26
