Beach energy announces increased revenue but slight fall in profits

Oil and gas company Beach Energy (ASX:BPT) has reported its net profit fell by 7 per cent to $96 million for the half year ended December 2017.

The company’s sales revenue increased 12 per cent on the same corresponding period the previous year to $386 million.

Earnings (EBITDA) were also up 5 per cent on the same time last year to $236 million.

The company declared a half year dividend of 1 cent per share fully franked.

Shares in Beach (ASX:BPT ) are trading 5.34 per cent higher to $1.33
