Transurban’s profit jumps 280 per cent

Transurban Group (ASX: TCL) has reported a 280 per cent rise in profit from ordinary activities after tax to $331 million dollars for the first half of this financial year.

In more good news for the company, total revenue from ordinary activities increased 22 per cent to $1.6 billion dollars.

The toll road operator’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation increased by 12 per cent $911 million dollars.

The company declared a first half year distribution of 28 cents per share.

Shares in Transurban (ASX:TCL) are trading 0.44 per cent higher at $11.40
