Helloworld Travel appoints former STA Travel CEO

Australian and New Zealand travel company Helloworld Travel (ASX:HLO) has announced the appointment of John Constable, former Group Chief Executive Officer of STA Travel, as the company’s new Group General Manager of Retail and Commercial.

He will take up with position in Melbourne on 12 February 2018.

The appointment now establishes the four pillars of Helloworld Travel’s operational management team, with John Constable heading up the retail and commercial divisions in Australia.

A leadership team of four will report in to him and he will report directly to the CEO Andrew Burnes.

He has held senior positions with major UK travel retail and wholesale businesses, and left STA Travel in London in December 2017 after 12 years in the company.

Shares in Helloworld Travel (ASX:HLO) closed 2.94 per cent lower yesterday at $4.62.
