CIMIC’s CPB Contractors to build Sydney aquatic centre

A CIMIC (ASX:CIM) group company, CPB Contractors, has been selected by the City of Sydney to design and construct the Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre in Sydney’s Green Square precinct.

The contract is expected to generate revenue of approximately $84 million to CPB Contractors.

Construction is expected to commence this year and conclude late next year.

The centre is the largest pool complex to be built in the city since the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

The works includes a 50 metre outdoor pool, a 25 metre indoor pool, gym, café and crèche.

Shares in CIMIC (ASX:CIM) are trading 0.41 per cent lower at $48.15.
