RCR Tomlinson awarded $70 million rail project

Engineering and infrastructure company RCR Tomlinson (ASX:RCR) announces it has been awarded a $70 million contract by Metro Trains Melbourne to deliver station upgrade works within the Melbourne Underground Rail Loop.

RCR’s scope of work includes the engineering, design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of systems upgrades for the three underground rail stations.

The Melbourne underground rail loop forms part of Melbourne’s metro rail network, including underground stations at Parliament, Melbourne Central and Flagstaff below the Melbourne CBD.

RCR Managing Director and CEO Dr Paul Dalgleish said the company continues to see growth in its pipeline of rail infrastructure projects and commented that this award shows RCR’s capability to support a range of complex rail systems projects.

He said the company looks forward to working with Metro Trains Melbourne to deliver a safe and reliable project.

Shares in RCR Tomlinson (ASX:RCR) are trading 0.26 per cent higher at $3.86.
