Company News

Airport operator MAp Group (ASX:MAP) says Sydney Airport delivered annual traffic growth of 7.8 per cent in 2010.

Last year international traffic at Sydney Airport rose by 6.9 per cent while domestic and regional traffic grew by 8.1 per cent, compared to the year before.

MAp says Sydney Airport achieved an average growth rate over 2009 and 2010 consistent with the groups long term 4 to 5 per cent target, despite the impact of the global financial crisis during the period.

MAp has also posted a 9.1 per cent traffic increase in Copenhagen Airport and a 1.1 per cent lift to traffic in Brussels Airport in 2010.

CEO Kerry Mather says MAp airports have continued to receive significant new capacity announcements which include new destinations and increased frequencies on existing routes.

MAp Group posted a net loss of $5.83 million in the first six months of 2010.
