BlueScope announces new management restructure

BlueScope’s incoming (ASX:BSL) Managing Director and CEO Mark Vassella today announced a restructure to its management team, which will be effective in the 2018 calendar year, as part of the company’s new structure and renewed strategy across its global business.

After ten years as Chief Financial Officer, Charlie Elias will now lead two key international businesses, as Chief Executive of NS BlueScope from March 2018 and taking over responsibility at BlueScope China based in Singapore from July 2018.

Tania Archibald will take over as group CFO, after working as Australia and New Zealand CFO overseeing business in Asia and corporate finance.

Sanja Dayal who has been Chief Executive of NS BlueScope based in Singapore, will relocate to Sydney as Chief Executive of Strategy and Optimisation overseeing corporate strategy.

Mark Vassella will start in his new position as Managing Director and CEO from January 2018, taking over from Paul O’Malley.

Shares in BlueScope (ASX:BSL) are trading 0.43 per cent lower to $13.75.
