LiveTiles signs Victorian state government agreement

Global software company LiveTiles (ASX:LVT) has signed an agreement with the Victorian state government, which supports the company’s global plans to establish its Asia-Pacific headquarters and Global Innovation Centre in Geelong, Victoria.

The Geelong team will focus on digital marketing, lead generation, customer service and technical support to drive the company’s expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.

As part of the initiative, LiveTiles will partner with local universities, TAFEs and high schools to collaborate on innovation projects and to facilitate career opportunities for tech graduates.

The company said the initiative will help drive LiveTiles’ customer and revenue growth in FY2018.

Premier of Victoria MP Daniel Andrews said the partnership with LiveTiles will boost the local tech industry and create local jobs.

Shares in LiveTiles (ASX:LVT) are trading 1.85 per cent lower to 27 cents.
