Sydney Airport reports growth in international and domestic flights

Sydney Airport (ASX:SYD) announced its October domestic and international growth is up 3.8 per cent for October, bringing its annual flight growth to date to 3.5 per cent.

International passenger growth is up 5.8 per cent compared to the previous corresponding period, bringing the year to date growth for international flights to 7.4 per cent.

Its domestic growth has grown 2.8 per cent last month, bringing annual growth to 1.4 per cent for domestic flights.

Sydney Airport Managing Director and CEO Kerrie Mather said the growth continues to be driven by increases in seat capacity from new and existing airline customers, in addition to strong load factors.

The airport has recorded 43 million passengers over the past 12 months.

Shares in Sydney Airport (ASX:SYD) are trading 1.1 per cent lower to $7.22.
