Australian Copper-Gold Producer, Sandfire Resources (ASX:SFR) has seen a fall in copper production to 15,258 tonnes in the September quarter, (compared to 17,092 tonnes in June quarter).

Sandfire says its copper production was impacted by elevated talc in the ore feed from its C1 deposit, which is expected to continue through to December.

At the same time, the miner was able to maintain its milling rate and operation costs in line with prior quarter.

It averaged copper recovery of 91.1 per cent and maintained its overall FY2018 production guidance.

Shares in Sandfire Resources (ASX:SFR) are trading 0.66 per cent higher to $6.14.
