Gold producer and explorer, St Barbara
(ASX:SBM) has seen record quarterly production at its PNG mine, Simberi, hitting 33,976 ounces, while it also dropped its costs at the site.
It’s total group production was bolstered to 98,259 ounces in the first quarter of FY2018, while it also benefited from better All-in-Sustaining Costs ($889 per ounce).
St Barbara also noted it’s still debt free with $199 million in cash at bank after paying a 6-cent dividend per share in FY17.
It also maintained its FY18 full year guidance.
