Heron Resources ramps up Zinc-Copper project in NSW

Heron Resources (ASX:HRR), an ore body explorer has ramped up its zinc-copper project in South West New South Wales by progressing earthworks, kicking off construction and ordering key equipment.

Heron mobilised 45 staff and a fleet of 23 earthmovers, all to kick of preliminary construction at the Woodlawn Project, which is 250 kms south west of Sydney.

The company also ordered the bulk of the necessary equipment or $25 million, out of total $30 million.

Heron says over the next few weeks it will also start construction of the underground box cut, the haul road and the tailings storage facility.

The project should be on track to be commissioned in 2018.

Shares in Heron Resources (ASX:HRR) are trading 2.86 per cent lower to 7 cents.
