The German Court has suspended the patent proceedings against Fisher & Paykel Healthcare (ASX:FPH) due to validity concerns.

It comes as the healthcare designer and manufacturer had the two patent proceedings put against it by ResMed (ASX:RMD). But the Regional Court in Munich suspended the matters with the final outcome to be filed by the European Patent Office.

The two companies have been in and out of court since May 2017 over validity of patents.

ResMed (ASX:RMD) is however continuing to pursue two other cases, but the Regional Court expressed serious doubts about the claims.

Shares in Fisher & Paykel Healthcare (ASX:FPH) closed 0.26 per cent higher yesterday to $11.66.
