Sandfire Resources
(ASX:SFR) has received a draft operating permit for its 78 per cent owned Black Butte Copper Project in the US.
The Australian Copper-Gold producer, says the milestone deal marks the beginning of the comprehensive environmental impact (EIS) statement .
Once the EIS is completed in about a year, it will allow the construction at the site to begin.
Sandfire also confirmed it will support a 5-for-9 rights issue undertaken by Tintina Resources to raise $11 million to advance developments of the mining project.
Shares in Sandfire Resources
(ASX:SFR) closed about 2.4 per cent lower yesterday to $5.72.
