Perth-based European Cobalt (ASX:EUC) has acquired a new site licence in Slovakia.

The new site is 2km from its Dobsina project site and will expand the project’s length to more than 20km from 3km.

The five element mineral veins at Dobsina have similarities with the new site, with oxide copper mineralisation.

Geographical mapping and sampling will determine the extent of the mineralisation.

The historical copper mine located at the site extends over 800m and 80m in depth.

Shares in European Cobalt (ASX:EUC) are trading up 2.27 per cent to 9 cents.
