(ASX:CEN) has recorded a 20 GWh drop in electricity sales from last year as New Zealand’s electricity demand declined 2.3 per cent on August 2016.

Cost of energy increased to $35.99/MWh compared to last year’s figure of $30.11/MWh.
Hydro generation was down 15 per cent or 49 GWh in August this year compared to 2016.
