ASX stock values remain flat for Aug

ASX (ASX:ASX) has reported the value of ASX-listed stocks, as measured by the All Ordinaries index remained flat in August 2017.

Whilst in-line with the US markets, the results were in contrast to other major markets including the UK up 0.8 per cent, Hong Kong which was up 2.4 per cent, and Japan which was down 1.4 per cent.

The volatility measurement, as measured by the average daily movement in the All-Ords, remained relatively low for the month of August at 0.4 per cent, down .2 of a per cent on the previous month.

The total capital raised on the Australian Securities Exchange was $5.8 billion, down 7 per cent on the previous corresponding period.

Shares in the ASX (ASX:ASX) are trading down 0.83 per cent to $53.96.
