CIMIC’s Thiess wins new Indonesian $437m contract

CIMIC Group's (ASX:CIM) global mining services provider, Thiess, has been awarded a new coal mining contract in the Western Kurai region of East Kalimantan, Indonesia.

The seven year GBU coal mine contract is set to generate revenue of $437 million from 2017.

CIMIC group says this new contract in Indonesia demonstrates how Thiess is continuing to expand mining operations in the region.

CIMIC also says the mining business 'will leverage its innovation for its mining solutions.’

Shares in CIMIC (ASX:CIM) are trading down 0.22% to $41.59
