Webjet buys JACTravel Group

Webjet (ASX:WEB) has announced the acquisition of JAC Travel Group.

The travel booking company issued 2.62 million oridinary shares to JACTravel’s vendors at the equivalent of $10.94 per share.

JACTravel are a global travel provider with access to over 15000 city hotels worldwide, and includes inbound group travel services for the UK.

It was only yesterday Webjet announced record profits of $52.4 million for the 2017 financial year an increase of about 147 per cent on FY16.

The company also clarified to the market informing the Australian Financial Review about its results on an embargoed basis was not appropriate.

Shares in Webjet (ASX:WEB) are trading up 0.67% to $11.99.
