Nine Entertainment posts full year loss

Nine Entertainment (ASX:NEC) has announced a full year loss of $203.4M.

Revenue was down 3 per cent to $1.24B, attributed in part to a soft Free To Air market and the Rio Olympics, which were screened on rival Seven’s network.

Group EBITDA did lift, up 2 per cent to $206M, while Group Costs came down by 1 per cent.

Online subscription channel STAN was an operational highlight, with active subscribers approaching the 800K mark.

The company has announced a final dividend payment of 5 cents.

Shares in Nine Entertainment (ASX:NEC) are trading about 4.36% higher at $1.55.
