a2 Milk Company Limited (ASX:A2M) has announced a stellar net profit after tax of $NZ90.6M for the year end, up 198 per cent on the prior corresponding period.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization came in at $NZ141.2 million.

Revenue experienced strong growth off the back of surging demand for infant formula in both Australia and China, coming in at $NZ549.5M, an increase of 56 per cent on the previous financial year.

Earnings per share increased, up 186 per cent to12.7 cents.

With building momentum in Australia and China, the company has cited increased investment in building brand awareness in the United States.

The company has not announced a dividend payment at this stage.

Shares in a2 Milk Company Limited (ASX:A2M) last traded 1.10% lower at $4.50.
