APN Outdoor Group profits slides 19 per cent

APN Outdoor Group (ASX:APO) has announced its profit from ordinary activities attributable to shareholders fell over 19 per cent to $15.8 million in the half year to 30 June 2017.

The leading outdoor media company’s revenue rose almost 8 per cent to $162.3 million over the six months to 30 June 2017, compared to the prior corresponding period (pcp).

The business attributed the stronger revenue to digital screens and overall market growth.

The advertising firm’s underlying EBITDA rose 7 per cent to $37.2 million over the 6 months to the end of the 2017 financial year.

APN Outdoor declared an interim, fully franked dividend of 6.7 cents per share, 3 per cent higher than pcp.

Shares in APN Outdoor Group (ASX:APO) are trading 0.21 per cent higher to $4.74.
