Sydney Airport international traffic increases in July

Sydney Airport Holdings (ASX:SYD) has announced strong international traffic growth for July, up 6.7 per cent on the prior corresponding period.

Total traffic was also up 3.7 per cent, with strong demand on domestic routes helping drive numbers.

School holidays and the recent British and Irish Lions Tour of New Zealand also played a helping hand.

The airport has also announced Beijing Capital Airlines will commence flights out of Sydney to mainland Chinese city Qingdao as of 30 October, adding more than 262,000 international seats per year.
