Incitec Pivot (ASX:IPL) has appointed Jeanne Johns as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, taking effect from 15 November 2017.

It comes as James Fazzino announced in February he would be stepping down from the helm within 12 months.

The manufacturer, marketer and distributor of industrial chemicals, fertilisers and explosives recruited the former BP executive who comes with 25 years of industry experience.

The company says she brings a deep understanding of commodity businesses from being President of BP’s $12 billion multi-national Natural Gas Liquids business.

The outgoing CEO will depart the group on 30 September 2017.

Shares in Incitec Pivot (ASX:IPL) are trading 0.30 per cent higher to $3.36
