Crown Resorts reported FY17 NPAT rises, revenue falls

Crown Resorts Limited (ASX:CWN) has announced its reported NPAT attributable to its parent rose 96.7 per cent, after significant items, to $1.866 billion in FY17.

Ones of Australia's largest gaming and entertainment groups says its reported EBIT fell 14.7 per cent to $493.5 million.

Crown says its full year result reflected difficult trading conditions, with total normalised revenue for the group falling 10 per cent to $3.238 billion.

The fall was largely due to the reduction in VIP program play revenue in Australia, which dropped by 48.9 per cent compared to the prior corresponding period.

The company declared a final dividend of 30 cents per share, taking its total full year dividend to 60 cents per share, which excludes its interim special dividend [of 83 cps].

Shares in Crown Resorts Limited (ASX:CWN) are trading 0.47 per cent higher to $12.83.
