Webjet in disagreement with auditor

Webjet (ASX:WEB) has had a disagreement with its auditor on a technical matter relating to its financial statements ending 30 June 2017. Nevertheless it’s expecting to perform strongly in the period with EBITDA of around $80 million.

As a result of the disagreement, the travel booking website says the audit report from its auditor, BDO Audit (SA) Pty Ltd for the company’s 2017 financial year statements will be qualified.

The disagreement relates to transactions associated with its Thomas Cook agreement, which the company entered into in August 2016.

The company says despite the technical matter, no cash flows or economics in relation to the Thomas Cook strategic partnership will be affected.

Shares in Webjet (ASX:WEB) has are trading 7.50 per cent lower to $11.72
