Carnegie Clean Energy receives $850k in grant funding

Carnegie Clean Energy Limited (ASX:CCE) has received about $850,000 in grants, for its Australian and European-based government funded energy projects.

The energy developer has received $670,000 from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) for its Garden Island Microgrid Project. The funds were milestone payments given for completed design and procurement activities.

Carnegie subsidiary CETO Wave Energy UK has received about $183,000 to its CETO 6 Wave Hub Project, located in Cornwall, of south west England.

The company says discussions are continuing with the West Australian Government, to fund $19.5 million to its Albany Wave Energy Project.

Shares in Carnegie Clean Energy Limited (ASX:CCE) are current trading flat at 5.8 cents.
