Yowie Group
(ASX:YOW) has entered into an agreement with a company founded, by actor/director Mel Gibson, Icon Animation, to produce a series of Yowie webisodes.
The global brand licencing company, inked the deal to be a step closer to taking the firm to Hollywood and the big screen.
Icon Animation will create seven webisodes for Yowie to launch on its media channels.
Yowie says one video will be produced for each of its characters and one video will feature the Yowie tribe, with the videos to be released across Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and Yowie World.
The agreement includes licensing and distribution rights for five years, with Bruce Davey to direct the team of writers, animators, voice actors and musicians.
The videos, or webisodes will be launched in Easter 2018.
Shares in Yowie Group
(ASX:YOW) are trading 1.54 per cent higher to 33 cents.
