Energy Resources of Australia (ASX:ERA) has appointed Paul Arnold as Chief Executive and Managing Director, with effect from 2 August 2017.

The uranium producer, which is 68.4 per cent owned by Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO), says Paul Arnold will replace outgoing Andrea Sutton effective 2 August 2017.

Andrea Sutton is departing ERA to take up the role as Global Head of Safety and Security for the Rio Tinto Group.

The firm says Andrea’s performance at the company has been outstanding in all respects and she leaves the firm in an extremely strong position.

Incoming, Paul Arnold, currently leads Rio Tinto’s Aluminum’s Pacific Operations Engineering and Growth team. He previously also worked for BHP (ASX:BHP) in the operations and corporate teams.

Shares in Energy Resources of Australia (ASX:ERA) last traded flat yesterday at 46.5 cents.
