Qantas Airways Ltd
(ASX:QAN) says it plans to put in A380s back on the trans-Pacific run within the next few weeks.
The airlines’ return of its superjumbos to the Australia-Los Angeles route after more than two months will end of the most difficult periods faced by the company.
In Qantas’ Federal Court damages claim against Rolls Royce, the airline argued that passenger load on its A380s would have to be cut from 450 to just 80 for the jets to operate out of Los Angeles in their present form.
For the year ended 30 June 2010, Qantas reported a net profit of $116 milion.
