ALS sees strong recovery in NPAT FY2017

ALS Limited (ASX:ALQ) has announced its statutory net profit, attributable to shareholders rose to $81.6 million for the full year to 31 March 2017.

That was a massive jump from its net loss of $240.7 million in the prior corresponding period.

The analytical testing service provider says, the recovery in mineral resource exploration and development in parts of the world, bolstered its results.

ALS reported its revenue from ordinary activities firmed 0.1% higher from the prior corresponding period to $1.366 billion.

ALS EBITDA’s in Commodities, Industrials and Oil and Gas laboratory division’s rose, while its EBITDA in its life sciences department sank.

The company also declared a final total dividend of 13.5 cents per share (partly franked).

Shares in ALS Limited (ASX:ALQ) traded 2.34% lower yesterday to $5.85.
