EBOS Group Limited (ASX:EBO) has entered into a binding agreement to buy Australia’s largest provider of outsourced pharmacy services to hospitals, for $154 million.

The health and animal care company says the purchase of HPS complements and extends its Australian hospital business, while it will also give EBOS a new platform to expand into the hospital sector.

HPS has been in health services for over 40 years and has contracts with key private hospital groups, correctional facilities, oncology and fertility clinics.

HPS services over 100 sites, employs around 600 staff.

EBOS says the purchase will be fully debt financed and will add at least 5% to EBOS’ underlying EBITDA in FY 2018.

Shares in EBOS Group Limited (ASX:EBO) are currently trading flat at $17.01.
