Sydney Airport reports international traffic growth

Sydney Airport Limited (ASX:SYD) has reported combined monthly traffic growth of 4.7% compared to the prior corresponding period.

Domestic monthly traffic performance increased by 0.7%, while international growth increased by 12.1%

A contributing factor was Saudi airline, Etihad up gauging its second daily service to the A380, adding 123,000 seats annually to the Abu Dhabi-Sydney route.

China Airlines will also be doubling their Taiwanese capacity to Sydney from December 2017, adding about 280,000 seats.

Shares in Sydney Airport Limited (ASX:SYD) are trading 0.14% lower to $7.33.
