The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has granted Virgin Australia Airlines (ASX:VAH) approval for a Fly-in-Fly-out Airline service.

The ACCC granted authorization for Virgin Australia, Virgin Regional Airlines (VARA) and the Alliance Aviation Services (ASX:AQZ) to provide corporate charter customers with a Fly-in-Fly-out service.

The ACCC says the only significant overlap in operations will be between Virgin Regional Airlines (VARA) and the Alliance Aviation Services (ASX:AQZ) for their charter services in Western Australia.

The Airlines say they also would like to “cooperate” on FIFO operations, including aircraft maintenance, airport handling and check ins.

Shares in Virgin Australia Airlines (ASX:VAH) are trading 2.78% lower at 17.5 cents.
