Ruralco Holdings: seasonal conditions boost NPAT & EBITDA

Ruralco Holdings Limited (ASX:RHL) has announced its net profit after tax rose 15% to $12.4 million for the half year ending 31 March 2017.

The agribusinesses reported growth in rural supplies and agency sales from strong seasonal conditions, which boosted its sales revenue by 4% to $841.4 million for the six months to 31 March 2017.

Ruralco Holdings also saw a strong improvement in its operational leverage which boosted its underlying EBITDA by 23% from the prior corresponding period.

The company also reported a turnaround in its live export business, following a successful restructure.

It reported an interim dividend of 9 cents fully franked.

Shares in Ruralco Holdings Limited (ASX:RHL) are currently trading 0.33% higher to $3.05.
