Meridian Energy Limited
(ASX:MEZ) has announced its national hydro storage decreased from 95% to 90% of its historical average in the nine months to 9 May 2017.
The New Zealand electricity generator and retailer’s monthly total inflows for April were 57% of its historical average.
For its Waiau catchment in Southland New Zealand, it saw its second lowest April inflows on record, following the lowest March inflow recorded.
Meantime, Meridian says national electricity demand increased 0.5% in April, compared to April last year. However, over the past 12 months demand has been 1.6% lower than the prior corresponding period.
