Origin Energy (ASX:ORG) has executed an agreement to sell Australia’s largest wind development, the Stockyard Hill Wind Farm for $110 million.

The electricity and gas supplier also committed to a 530 mega watt long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) for the Stockyard Hill Wind Farm.

Origin Energy says the deal will set a new benchmark for new renewable PPA pricing in the market.

Under the terms of agreement Origin will buy all of the power generated by the wind farm and the associated Renewable Energy Certificates for a market leading PPA prices of below $60 per mega watt hour.

Shares in Origin Energy (ASX:ORG) are trading 2.66% higher to $7.54.
