The 50:50 Joint Venture with Ausdrill Limited
(ASX:ASL) and Barminco Holdings Limited has awarded an underground mining contract to Newmont Ghana Gold.
The JV company, African Underground Mining Services, contracted Newmont Ghana Gold for five-years to supply all underground mining services to the Subika Underground Mine in Ghana.
The contract is worth US$280 million.
The JV company expects activity at the site to begin in the second quarter of 2017.
